Fit4Life Schedule

Fit4Life is recreational running and is suitable for those who enjoy running regularly and also for those new to running.

If you are a regular runner then you can come along to our Fit4Life sessions on Monday and Thursday evenings, meeting time 7.00pm at the Westside.  Different paced groups have different meeting points at the moment to ensure we do not have large groups meeting in the same place.

Next Beginners Group will start on Thursday 12th January 2023.

Where?

Meeting Point is outside the Westside Library on Seamus Quirke Road.  

There is limited parking in front of the Library. Other parking available in Dunnes Stores Car Park and Aldi Car Park.

Do not park in the Churchgrounds.

When?

Every Monday and Thursday evening.

Beginners can only start at certain times usually January, April and September.

What time?

Sessions start at 7pm sharp and last for about an hour. Warm up session followed by jog/run and then a cool down session.

If it is your first night come ten minutes early to give you time to find the best group for you.

What are the groups?

These are the different paces groups.  We will have more than one group for each pace.  Please take into account your current fitness level when choosing your group.

Beginners Group

Suitable for those who have never run before or are returning after a break

Pace: Walk/Jog

Distance: 5K

Intermediate Group

Continuous Running

Average Pace: 10 minutes/mile, 5 minutes/km

Distance: 6K -8K

Fast Joggers Groups

Continuous Running
Average Pace: 9 minutes/mile, 5.30 minutes/km
Distance: 8K – 10K

Improvers Group

Continuous Running

Average Pace: 11 minutes/mile, 7mins/km

Distance: 5K

Joggers Group

Continuous Running

Average Pace: 9.30 minutes/mile, 6.00 minutes/km Distance: 8K – 10K

 

Runners Groups

Continuous Running

Average Pace: 8 minutes/mile, 5 minutes/km

Distance: 8K – 10K
